Acting/Film & TV
ActingThis is and intensive practical course designed to introduce the student to the art of acting. The class will cover warm up exercises, which will include a combination of vocal and body movement as well as focus, concentration and emotional grounding. Acting improvisation exercises will be used to develop teamwork, spontaneity and imagination. Acting exercises will teach the basics for scenework. After the student has a firm grasp on the basics we will begin to work on monologues develop scenes and create a working relationship between the three disciplines. |

Scene study This class will focus on the practical end of performance, teaching students to work through monologues, two-handed scenes and cold reads for auditioning purposes. Students will begin to develop strong repertoire for when they are auditioning for theatre or music Theatre. |

Voice & DialectStudents will learn how to proper annunciation and pronunciation when performing script. They will work on accents and acting styles which require much training to perfect. A good portion of this class will focus on the works of Shakespeare. |

Voice / Movement Students will learn how to feel grounded in there acting by finding there voice through relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, massage work and partner trust and focus exercises. This will help the student find there nervous tensions and bad posture/ acting habits encouraging each student to face them and work through them to make a more confident performer.

Film/Television Students will learn the basic techniques for how to audition for film and Television. They will work on cold readings, film and television jargon as known in this industry. They will work in an applied setting each class watching themselves and there classmates perform on Television. Each student will be critiqued on his/her performance. |

Marketing Yourself in Business Students will learn how to market themselves for this business. This includes, dress, hair, make up, shape, fashion for there type. They will learn keys to help them network, how to get an agent and most importantly how to manage their business once they do get in. |

Stage Combat/Fencing This class will teach the actor how to properly complete a fight scene and will teach the actor some old fight techniques commonly used on the stage today. |

AUDITION INFORMATION Auditions are held in every Wednesday between 3-6pm. An audition fee of $25 per student is due upon arrival or can be sent with registration form before audition dates. Auditioned will be required to bring a recent head shot and filled out registration form. Audition Schedule: Acting/Film Audition:Students will perform a prepared monologue. Material for their prepared monologue will be handed to audition panel before their monologue is performed. Students will be given a cold read to perform on camera. Audition results will be mailed to your home address within two weeks from audition date. |
